Antonis Hondrogiannis was born in Pyrgos, a village of Tinos in 1958 and he lived there until 1975. Then, he moved to Athens where he finished his studies and he occupied himself with the sculpture. He worked with some traditional technicians of the marble who passed to him the art of sculpture. In 1985, he returned to Tinos where he founded his own workshop of marble sculpture. He keeps up the traditional methods of sculpture but he promotes modern ideas too.
